Favorite Quarantine Buys: Family Edition

When the stay at home order went into effect in March., I REALLY thought I would be saving money since I wasn’t going out as much. Then reality set in. I wanted to make wings at home since I couldn’t go get them, My kids were no longer able to play at the park or go to school. My dog couldn’t go to the park and run the energy off. I had to figure out a new way of life and what would work.

I wanted to share a few of the things I have bought while we were under the stay at home order. Granted some states are opening up but, for those of you who can stay home and have decided to do so a little longer here are some things that can make the stay a little easier on everyone in the family.

1.) Instapot Air Fryer - Ok I. I am not going to lie I was NOT a believer in an air fryer but the way my taste buds wanted some barbalo (BBQ and Buffalo sauce mixed together) Wings I had to figure out how to make them. I did some research and came across this 6qt one, which is perfect for a family of four. I have made, wings, salmon, chicken fingers, fries, cookies (it is an oven as well and can bake very quick!) baked veggies just to name a few. I have had it for a month and seriously this kitchen tool should be in everyone’s home. Food cooked to perfection anywhere from 15-20 min! There here is a BEAST, it can air fry, bake, broil and reheat.

2. Hand-Held Garden Sprayer - So if you are like most people and decided to become a plant parent or add to your collection then this helps you watering and mist the leaves in the house. I also like this because if you can get your hands on Lysol concentrate you can make your own batch of Lysol spray (which is what we have done.)

3. Busy Chew Toy For Dogs - Our dog is a maltipoo and likes playing a lot. This is fun because you put some treats in the ball and they have to knock it out. It sections to the floor and gives them something to chew on and burn their energy as well as use their brain to figure out how to get the treats.

4. Glow Sticks These are great to give the kids a nice surprise. We use them to throw in the bathtub and have a glowstick party before bedtime. Another way to use them is to create a dance playlist with the kids and have a really cool party. Our kids loved it and we have had 2-3 since the stay at home order went into place.

5. Bissell Steam Mop - This right here is AWESOME! it cleans different floor textures and sanitizes using steam. I also love the attachment that cleans grout. I spent an entire afternoon just cleaning the grout in our rooms and the kids helped too. This is a purchase I wish we made sooner.

6. Phone Tripod - Now that everyone seems to be on tik tok and people are creating more content for social media. This phone tripod is cheap but, it’s a great way to film all your dances, sketches, or just take a picture.

7. Sneaky Snacky Squirrel - Our kids love this game. It’s really silly and easy enough to play that the three-year-old and six-year-old play by themselves. You just fill your board with different color acorns but WATCH OUT that sneaky squirrel can help your opponent steal the acorns.

8. Osmo Codind Awbie - OSMO is a great stem company we have a few other games as well and they make them for ages 3- 12yrs. You need an iPad or Fire Tablet and a base that they can sit on(Sold separately) but your kind is learning as they play. My husband is a Web programmer and really enioys

9. Mesh Zipper Pouch - If you are like me you have board games and puzzle boxes just taking up space. A friend of mine shared how she bought these mesh ouches and organized all the games. It makes cleaning up so much easier as well as saving space.
