I was the Perfect parent...until I had kids

Parenting is a lot of things but the main word I would use to describe it is...HUMBLING. Everyone thinks they have an idea of what to expect. Many people before kids utter the sentence "Well MY kid would NEVER do  _____" It's a cute sentiment that you truly believe that you will call the shots for everything. Parenting is really about compromise and survival lol. It's really hard to go into further detail other than that. You really don't know what your kid will be like until you have them and YOU don't know what kind of parent you will be until you are one.

One thing that has remained constant for me is using humor to cope with challenges in my life. There were things I SWORE I would never do with kids and let's just say that......I do some of those things lol. Check out how parenting has changed me.
