Packing for children - Cruise edition

So you are heading on a cruise with your kids, you want to pack light but you also want to be prepared. Well, look no further. I am here to share my tips and tricks with you. One of my best purchases are packing cubes. They are seriously amazing. They help keep everything organized and you can fit so much into one cube.I purchased mine here. They came with THREE packing cubes Large, medium and small) as well as a dirty laundry bag.  Little tip * If you have more than one kid you can color code the packing cubes so you know exactly what is packed for whom.

Rolling your clothes helps save space as well. Look how much I was able to fit into the pink packing cube and that is a medium size one.

We tend to go on cruises in the cold months so that is why you see a sweatshirt as well as a pair of pants. It gets a little chilly out there on the water at night, with the wind blowing. Also if your boat has an ice rink on it, you will be happy you bought them.

There really is no need to overpack. We have done a seven-day cruise and this is more than enough to get us through those seven days. Now my children are 4yrs old and 18mo old. So if you are cruising with a younger one(baby has to be min 6 mo) you may need a little more, depending on how messy they are. Overall though this is enough. Below you can check out exactly what I bring when on a trip.
