Summer Loving

I feel like I just blinked and my summer is almost over. Here we are in the middle of September and a week away from Autumn (in Florida that means very little lol) I am excited for some fall festivities (sunflower maze, hay rides etc) I wanted to take a moment and share with you all some of my favorite moments from my summer. This summer started out a little stressful. We had to fly back home to MI for an impromptu trip for health reasons. We were so happy to see our loved one doing better and we were able to leave knowing they were doing better. It turned into a great trip where our children got to hang with their grandparents and cousins. we got much-needed family time. The highlight of the trip was being able to take our children back to the place we got married Fredrick Meijer Garden. & Sculpture Park.  If you are in or near the grand rapids area you should check it out.

We got to check out some new sculptures the park has added and there really is no way to describe the feeling of taking your family back to the place that started it all. I walked with my son and daughter down the same aisle I met their father out. We took pictures as a family of four in the same places as the day we became a family of two.

Another big thing that happened this summer is my first born started school. I was not in tears and neither was he. I was so excited for this new adventure he was about to embark on. One that would allow him to show more independence. One that would allow him to take the things I have taught him and become his own little person.

This summer I didn't take a lot of pics but we lived it. My husband and I got to see 30 seconds to Mars in concert, we went to zoos, museums, camped in the backyard, our children turned 2 and 5, we were able to volunteer hours to expand our ministry. There was just so many great moments this summer. I look forward to what the fall will bring.

What are some of your favorite summer memories?
