How To Transition Your Summer Clothing to Autumn Clothing

The fact that Autumn is just around the corner has me all in my feelings. It feels like summer just began. You may still have a cute summer outfit in your closet just waiting for the right moment to be worn and the thought of putting it away for the fall makes you a little sad. Well, I am here to put your mind at ease. You can transition many outfits from Summer to Autumn.

There are basics that you need and it can turn any summer outfit into one you can wear long into the crisp fall temps.

BOOTS

Boots are my favorite part about autumn. They are great to pari with you tights and some shorts to bring your outfit into the season. Throw them over a pair of jeans for an effortless look.

TIGHTS

Tights are not just for little girls. Tights are a great way to extend the life of your favorite shorts, skirts and dresses. They come in such fun colors now and its perfect for adding a pop of color to your outfit.

LAYERS

Have a maxi dress that you don’t want to let go yet? Place a T-shirt under it and a blazer or sweater over that. Layering is a great way to stay warm when the temps fluctuate in the fall.

BLAZERS

Blazers can change the look of a wrap dress, dress up a basic t-shirt and jeans combo. Gone are the days of shoulder pads and only wearing blazers to the office. There are so many chic new designs out there. 3/4 length sleeves, oversized, fitted, bold colors, prints, basics etc. There is something out there for everyone’s eclectic taste.

Some other ways that you can change up your wardrobe and stretch it is buy incorporating deeper colors. If you are not sure about what colors would dork best for a fall look, just look at nature (that goes for all seasons) Nature has amazing color palettes to get inspired from. Reds,Yellows, Oranges are some of my favorite colors to play with.

Just remember that fashion is fun and there are no hard rules you need to follow when it comes to expressing yourself. So if you want to rock bright jewel tones or deeper maroons that is entirely up to you. Have fun.
